Some armor textures featured in the guide is not compatible with CBBE. Using CBBE is not recommended for this reason but is still supported for those users that want to use it. The reason CBBE was featured in the first place was to allow us to use skin textures for female characters made specifically for CBBE/UNP, where CBBE was chosen because it could be built to look vanilla:ish. The textures that is currently used exists for vanilla as well, which means that CBBE is no longer nescessary.

The CBBE body is chosen because of its versatility. Recommended presets makes the body look realistic or vanilla-ish.*

Install the main file and the optional file ‘CBBE ESL-flagged .esp’.

In the main installer, choose:

  • Body Shape: Slim
  • Underwear options: NeverNude
  • Outfit options: Vanilla outfits
  • SKEE (RaceMenu): RaceMenu Morphs

The mod is not packaged correctly for mod managers. To install:

  1. Open the archive in MO for installation.
  2. Expand FAR-Forgotten Argonian Roots
  3. Expand Females → Default body → MAIN texture
    • CBBE user chooses CBBE Body instead of Default Body.
  4. Drag and drop the Textures folder onto < data > above
  5. Expand Males → Better Males body
  6. Drag and drop the Textures folder onto < data > above
  7. Expand no glow skin → Female
  8. Drag and drop the Textures folder onto < data > above
  9. Expand no glow skin → Male
  10. Drag and drop the Textures folder onto < data > above
  11. Untick FAR-Forgotten Argonian Roots and click OK

After installing this mod, users will have to clean it, as it contains an old USSEP forward that will result in freezes if left in.

  1. Load the FacegenForKids.esp using xEdit.
  2. Locate record: 00014132 and select it.
  3. Scroll down until Packages(aligned) is found.
  4. For the FacegenForKids column, there will be one package listed here that reads < Error: Could not be resolved >.
  5. Right-click on this listing and select Remove.
  6. Close xEdit, saving the edited plugin.
